The Ranger is the first model in our Pro Series range of boats which has been developed to suit the fisher person requiring a no nonsense rig that doesn’t need to be treated with cotton gloves.

The first stand out feature in these robust models are the 3mm slab sides providing strength and durability; perfect for pushing your way through mangroves when crabbing. The standard carpeted timber floor has been done away with and replaced with a fully welded checkerplate floor. One advantage of this is that it creates an easy to clean deck area as mud and debris doesn’t get caught in carpet. Another major benefit is that the fully welded floor helps tie the bottom and side sheets together creating a sub structure that would rival the structural strength of a plate aluminium Boat.

The Ranger model is currently available in a 4.4m and 4.7m configuration and both come with a front casting platform with two hatch openings, a starboard side pocket, bow rails that split on the port side to allow an extended electric motor plate to be fitted, a bow sprit & roller with a bollard for a tie off point, 5 x seat socket positions with 2 x full upholstered folding seats and a console box.

The Console box is a new feature in our line-up of boating options that has an array of different functions. Fitted within reaching distance of the driver’s seat, the console box conveniently houses your personal items such as your keys, sunglasses, wallets, practically any small item that would usually jingle around in your pockets. It also creates the perfect platform to mount a sounder or switch panel for your electrical pre rigging. The design of the console box also allows for a radio to be fitted if needed.

A rear casting platform with two hatch openings (for extra storage) and a splashwell comes as a standard feature on the 4.7 Ranger while the 4.4 Ranger is fitted with a splashwell only. A reverse chine hull with 3mm thickness has been developed for the first time in the 4.4 Ranger aiding in greater performance and stability while the 4.7 Ranger has been fitted with 4mm plate bottoms with a reverse chine and capped keel.

The Sea Jay Pro Series range of Rangers can be priced and purchased through our Boat Dealer Network throughout Australia. More information on the Ranger can be found on our website at http://www.seajayboats.com.au/ranger.

If you have been following the journey of the 7.6 Pursuit (cabin plate boat) through our website and social media, we are now happy to announce that the new 7.6 Pursuit was put through its paces over the Christmas period and now takes its place as the pride of the fleet in the Plate Xtreme range.

The 7.6 Pursuit has been created with genuine offshore capabilities. With a massive fuel capacity of 500ltrs, you no longer have to worry about how far you can travel, just how much time you can take off work to go! The fuel tank is housed in a separate fuel cell (tank within its own cavity) to eliminate any fuel (or fumes) escaping into the bilge in the unlikely event of fuel spillage. The tank itself has been made from 4mm alloy with several internal baffles fitted for improved strength and to reduce the movement of fuel.

With a dry weight of 1500kg, you can be sure that no material was spared in the construction of this rock solid hull. 5mm bottoms and transom, 4mm sides, 5mm longitudinal stringers and 4mm solid bulkheads all tie in together to create a substructure that can handle almost any sea conditions. A 3mm fully welded self-draining floor will drain away water if it breaches over the side as well as when your giving the inside of your boat a good wash down. Sealed buoyancy chambers and foam filled cavities have been added for maximum floatation and safety. The buoyancy foam complies with Australian standards (not affected by fuel) and gives double protection in case the hull is somehow ruptured. The Pursuit Hull also features a reverse chine which, combined with perfect weight distribution throughout, assists in making it a very soft, controlled and extremely comfortable riding vessel.

The 7.6 Pursuit has been furnished with numerous features such as a solid alloy hardtop to keep you high & dry when the weather decides to take a turn for the worse, a bait board with 4 x alloy rod holders, hydraulic steering to make steering easier on the arms, a large live bait tank for keeping your bait fish fresh and healthy, an overhead radio console which neatly house’s your VHF radio and a CD/Mp3 player in order to free up more space on your dash and a Heavy Duty Ladder coupled with a dive door to safely enter or exit through the transom. Carpeted alloy floors come standard for that extra touch of comfort (why burn your feet on a hot alloy floor) and fully upholstered offshore bucket seats mounted on seat frames that allow an esky to partly hide under giving you more fishing room.

A number of factory options are also on offer that complement the 7.6 Pursuit layout as well as improve performance such as electric trim tabs for a more controlled ride, a fresh water deck wash that come connected to a 125 litre water tank (or you can still have a salt water deck wash if so desired), front clears to repel water spray, rear bimini to fully shade the rear deck, LED spot lights for night fishing, chemical toilet concealed under cabin bunks, electric anchor winch for easy anchor retrieval and deluxe seat boxes fitted with either an extra passenger seat or a fully plumbed sink.

Finding a place to store all your bits and pieces can sometimes prove difficult which is why the 7.6 Pursuit has been cleverly designed to maximize every nook and cranny for usable storage. These come in the form of 2 x gunwhale shelves, helm and passenger pockets, side pockets, storage hatch inside the cabin and a wealth of space under the cabin bunks. Need space for a chemical toilet? No problem. There is a cavity space large enough under one of the cabin bunks that allows for this.

The heavy duty Bow Sprit arrangement allows for easy manual Anchor retrieval or if you prefer, mounting plates have been provided to fit an Electric Anchor Winch if so desired. The Cabin is large and spacious with full hood lining throughout. To make overnight trips more bearable, the internal cabin bunks are 2180mm long (from driver’s bulkhead to centre of anchor cavity) which is enough room to spread out when having a rest.

For the more safety conscious Fisherman, the first 7.6 Pursuit off our production line has been fitted with twin engines. Not only does stability improve due to the twin engines acting as counterweights, but there is nothing better knowing that you have a second key to turn if there are engine issues while out in the middle of nowhere.

Detailed information on the 7.6 Pursuit can be obtained on the Sea Jay Boats website at www.seajayboats.com.au/boat-range/cabin/pursuit. There you will find the most up to date specifications, features, photos and videos.

Owning an open style boat has many advantages when fishing estuaries and impoundments. They provide an ample amount of room to fish and crab without getting in each other’s way. One issue that often arises however is the lack of a basic storage area to place your personal items like car keys or sunglasses.

Our new boat option, the “Console Box”, is conveniently fixed to the side of the boat just forward of the driver. This position allows for easy access yet is not intrusive when moving around the boat.

The Console Box is made from sturdy 3mm alloy and has been designed for several different purposes. The first is to hold general items such as keys, sunglasses, knifes, wallets, practically any small item you bring along. It also creates the perfect platform to mount a sounder or switch panel for you electrical pre rig. There is also plenty of room to house a radio if needed.

As of the 1st October, we have decided to upgrade all of our boat models that are 4.55m and larger from 2mm pressed sides to 3mm Plate sides (formerly our optional Platinum Series). The Plate Sides are a progressive design that incorporate two presses (one close to the gunwhale and the other near the side chine) to optimise the full structural strength of the 3mm sides while creating a tough yet modern appearance.

To celebrate this massive change we have also decided not to charge any more for this upgrade for the first 3 months. That’s right, from now until Christmas, any model 4.55m and larger ordered will receive this upgrade for FREE!

To find out more about which models are applicable to the 3mm plate side upgrade, please contact one of our dealers or visit our extensive website at www.seajayboats.com.au.

Remember, this upgrade is only free until Christmas so don’t miss out!

For an entry level runabout with more than just basic features, you can’t go past our Seeker range of aluminium boats. However, we realise that every dollar counts when it comes to purchasing a new boat and that everyone is looking for more bang for their buck. With this in mind we have added several new features to the Seeker range creating more versatility and value for money.

An anchorwell has now been fitted in the front deck to hold your anchor and anchor rope that can be easily accessed through the windscreen hatch opening. A bollard has also been welded in front of the anchorwell for a solid tie off point.

Short rear rails now come standard for people sitting on the rear thwart seat to hang on to as well as short bow rails with navigation light plates to replace the front handles. The plastic seats have now been replaced with upholstered folding seats and pedestals for extra comfort that come in blue/grey or charcoal/grey. A newly designed pinstripe is also a welcomed change that will get you noticed on the water.

The Sea Jay Aluminium Boats range of Seekers can be priced and purchased through our Boat Dealers all over Australia. More information on the Seeker can be found on our website at http://www.seajayboats.com.au/models/runabout/seeker.

New to the Sea Jay Aluminium Boats range of options is an alloy removable bait board that can be mounted at the transom in all ultimate edge models. Standard with 4 x alloy rod holders, this bait board is not only functional, but a talking point as well due to the shark pattern cut out of each side making it a standout feature.

Covering your Boat is now made easier as a fixed Bait Board always protrudes catching the cover when trying to pull it over your Boat. A painful process! Being removable has never made a bait board more adaptable to different styles of fishing. Leave it in to go bait fishing, take it out to go flicking lures (less to hook a line around), it’s that easy.

To view a picture of the Removable Alloy Bait Board, just go to www.seajayboats.com.au/options/accessories.

Sea Jay Aluminium Boats have just released a new model to suit the new wave of fishing enthusiasts.

The Sea Jay “Barra Masta” is designed for those wanting maximum deck space with minimal clutter. The Barra Masta series of boats have eliminated the largest space hogging necessity in every boat, the ESKY! This has been achieved by raising and lengthening the front casting platform creating a cavity underneath large enough to hide not just the esky, but life jackets, tackle boxes, casting nets or anything else you may need for a great day out on the water.

This model is available in 4.55 / 4.85 / 5.0 and 5.4m and is fitted with a side console that can house all the required gauges and electronics as well as a battery underneath if so desired. The only exception is the 5.4m as it has the larger console positioned in the middle towards the rear of the boat.

An external shelf has also been fitted on the front of the console creating a handy spot to hold lures, drinks, glasses, knifes or tackle. This shelf has allowed a vertical rod storage holder to be fitted which can accommodate up to 5 rods. Rod storage also comes in the form of 4 x plastic rod holders mounted to the side decks and along with the 4 x alloy rod holders on the bait board, makes a total of 13 rod holder positions; More than enough spots to hold you and your mates fishing arsenal.

The Barra Masta models come standard with Platinum Sides (3mm plate) together with 3mm bottoms with the 5.4m having 4mm bottoms. This creates a tough yet stylish appearance that is bound to turn heads where ever it goes. The hull design features our sure trac reverse chine which gives stability at rest, is smooth riding and gives good fuel efficiency with minimum power.

New to the Sea Jay Aluminium Boats range of options is a removable bait board mounted at the transom. This option has now become a standard feature in all of the Barra Masta models. Standard with 4 x alloy rod holders, this bait board is not only functional, but a talking point as well due to the shark pattern cut out of each side. Being removable has never made a bait board more adaptable to different styles of fishing. Leave it in to go bait fishing, take it out to go flicking lures (less to hook a line around), it’s that easy.

Another useful feature standard across the Barra Masta range is an electric motor mount extended off the gunwhale. To compliment this, a large battery rack has also been fitted under the second hatch of the front casting platform to hold the electric motor battery. If you’re not planning to install an electric motor, the battery rack can also be used as another storage area. Let’s face it; you can never have enough storage.

The Sea Jay Aluminium Boats range of Barra Masta’s can be priced and purchased through their Boat Dealers all over Australia. More information on the Barra Masta’s can be found on the Sea Jay Aluminium Boats website at www.seajayboats.com.au/models/console/Barra Masta.
